My newest kitchen adventures are from Harumi Kurihara’s Harumi’s Japanese Home Cooking. First time making miso soup from scratch. Quite amazing compared to the plain saltiness of the pre-made instant stuff. Photos of the bowl were uninspiring. I like how the pot instead draws the eyes into the soup, ready to serve after the dirty spills and splatters around the oven!
